How to Remove Dip Powder Nails without Acetone

Hi lovely,

Let's get into some real #NailTalk. There is no secret anymore that excessive use of acetone can do damage to our hands.

For the more sensitive of us, acetone can highly dehydrate our skin and nails, getting our cuticles red and irritated. Even more so, our nails can become brittle and weak, thus making them prone to peeling and splitting.

This often happens when we put our nails through incredible ordeals just to have that lovely trending shade on, every week. There are things we can do to prevent the damage on our nails. Let's break it down:

  • Take longer breaks between applications.

After you remove the product try to wait at least 2 - 3 days and hydrate your nails consistently with AVVA cuticle oil. This will help keep the nails stronger and healthier.

  • Don't change your manicure weekly

Even though trends are always changing, our nails cannot resist the turmoil of the "always new, always fresh". That's why dip powder is a great option for you! It can last up to 3 - 4 weeks on your nails without problems, no UV lamp needed. You just need to follow the application steps to the heart. See our beginners tutorial here.

  1. AVVA provides an effective solution to the removal of dip powder. AVVA Removal Gel is easy to use and gets the job done. How does it work?Well first and foremost you need to file your nails thoroughly. The first layers of Top need to be removed in order for the Removal gel to do its job.

  2. Then we apply the removal gel on our nails. Using the brush we can apply a thick layer of gel on each nail, making sure to avoid our skin.

  3. Wait for 10 - 15 minutes to work its magic

  4. After this time it should come right off. If you happen to have more than 3 layers expect a longer time in the removal process. The removal gel needs more time to penetrate all the dip powder layers

  • Hydrate your nails even with dip powder on

Cuticle oil is not to be applied only at the end of your manicure. In order to get stronger, healthier nails, cuticle oil should be applied daily on your nails and around the skin surrounding them. This will ensure the proper hydration and the results will be noticed within weeks!
